El pixallit, Taraxacum officinale, és una planta d’Europa i Àsia occidental. Es troba a les Balears bé que a les Pitiüses és poc freqüent. Creix a herbassars nitrificats. Floreix a la primavera i la tardor. És pol·linitzada per insectes, sobretot abelles i té també autopol·linització. Els fruits duen vilans per a l’anemocòria. Després de la flor, les tiges creixen més per posar els fruits més dalt.

El diente de león, Taraxacum officinale, es una planta de Europa y Asia occidental. Se encuentra en las Baleares aunque en las Pitiusas es poco frecuente. Crece en herbazales nitrificados. Florece en primavera y verano. Es polinizada por insectos, sobre todo abejas y tiene también autopolinización. Los frutos llevan vilanos para la anemocoria. Después de la flor los tallos crecen más para tener los frutos más arriba.

Der Löwenzahn, Taraxacum officinale, ist eine Pflanze Europas und Westasiens. Man findet ihn auf den Balearen, obwohl er auf den Pityusen nicht häufig ist. Er wächst auf nitrifiziertem Grünland. Er blüht im Frühjahr und im Sommer. Er wird von Insekten bestäubt, insbesondere von Bienen, und besäubt sich auch selbst. Die Früchte haben Pappusse zur Anemochorie. Nach der Blüte wachsen die Stängel weiter, damit die Früchte höher sind.

The dandelion, Taraxacum officinale, is a plant of Europe and Western Asia. It can be found on the Balearics although on the Pityuses it is not frequent. It grows on nitrified geenlands. It flowers in spring and summer. It is pollinated by insects, mainly bees, and also pollinated itself. The fruits have pappuses for the anemochory. After flowering the stalks grow more so that the fruits are higher up.
