L’abriüll (en mallorquí: picatalons, canet, en menorquí: rodets) és una planta de les zones tropicals i subtropicals d’Europa, Àsia, Àfrica i Austràlia.
A Eivissa es troba com a teròfit en àrees ruderals. Falta a Formentera. Floreix a la primavera i a l’estiu. És pol·linitzat per insectes com ara l’abella domèstica. Els fruits tenen ganxos per a la dispersió exozoòcora.
